I recently read how important it is to WRITE DOWN your thoughts, feelings, goals, and even memories. This is something I’ve really neglected to do for awhile now. I don’t know why; I love to write. I spent the majority of my high school hours writing and writing.
When I think about it, the major difference between now and then is that I am much more content in my daily life. I was miserable in high school, and writing was my only outlet. I didn’t need to remind myself to take some time to write… there was no question that I would be doing so.
I guess I stopped writing when I went away to college, because I no longer felt the absolute need to do so. For the first time in my life, I felt free to express myself in other ways, some healthy, and some not so healthy.
Now that I’m starting to realize the importance of writing, I am making it a personal goal to write a little every day. I’m still growing, evolving, and discovering the person who I am, and I hope that writing will help me in this journey.
I also hope to use this blog as an outlet to my creativity. I truly find delight in the little things in life, and hope to share this with you.
